About us

Sri Lanka Health Qigong Association (SLHQA) is founded in the year 2009, at the International Chinese Qigong Exchange Program held in Shanghai. SLHQA is the only registered and licensed association with International Health Qigong Federation (IHQF), and it is the 47th Country to be registered in the IHQF.

SLHQA is a non-profit organization with the purpose to build the “harmony between human beings and universe” by promoting health qigong blend with the Chinese culture.

SLHQA promotes Health Qigong in the country and in the region by conducting awareness sessions, workshops, seminars and various social and mass media. The organization comprises with very well qualified health qigong trainers by the International Health Qigong Federation.

The origin of Sri Lanka Health Qigong goes as, a delegation was sent to participate in the Health Qigong Forum which was held in Shanghai, 2009.

After the initial program, the delegation has participated in many international Health Qigong exchange forums held in various parts of China such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Bozhou, Sichuan and Chizhou since 2009. Subsequently, SLHQA attended various international Health Qigong Tournaments and brought various glories to the motherland.

As highlights, in 2017 at the “World Health Qigong Tournament” in the Netherlands, SLHQA team won 3 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 2nd Place with a group event. In 2016 SLHQA won 3 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze medals in Chizhou, China while winning 3 Gold Medals and 1 Silver in 2015 in Bozhou, China at the International Health Qigong Tournaments.

SLHQA is continuing to excel in international arena while strengthening locally and the regionally. It welcomes every one of you to join with the movement and be a part the journey.
