Mr. Weerasinghe, Secretary General of Sri Lanka Health Qigong Association (SLHQA) and the Executive Board Member of International Health Qigong Federation represented SLQA & secured two Gold Medals in Ba duan jin and Liu zi jue individual male events at the “2nd Traditional Sports International Festival’ from 17th-20th Oct, 2024 in Kunming- China.
The purpose of the overall event is to promote Chinese traditional sports around the globe.
The overall event was comprised of Chinese cultural sports such as Wushu, Dragon Dance, Lion Dance & Health Qigong.
The event was organized by the All China Sports Federation, the People’s Municipal Government of Kunming, Yunan Provincial Sports Bureau, Central General Administration of China & Chinese Health Qigong Association and Wushu Association.
There were 257 athletes from 22 countries who took part in the Health Qigong event.
SLHQA launched Health Qigong program collaborating with Audha Sanchuary a center of healing, Pamunugama yesterday.
Overall staff was undergone an awareness program along with a training to experience the benefits of Health Qigong by Mr. Nalinda Jayasinghe and Mr. Eranga Weerasinghe who have conducted the event on behalf of the SLHQA.
